Inherent curiosity and a desire to continually learn and explore have lead me to wear many hats in design. I'm equal parts left and right brain and would categorize myself as both an artist and a scholar. I began my career and education in design, more than 17+ years ago receiving design degrees from both Howard University and the Fashion Institute of Technology/State University of New York. I picked up a certificate in UI/UX Design along the way via CareerFoundry. I started out in fashion and morphed into a hybrid between a UI/UX Designer and "Professional Purveyor of Style."
In addition to UI/UX, my background includes branding, brand development, graphic design, packaging design, textile design, print design, and I am a former featured TV personality on Style Network. I've worked for several large brands such as DKNY, Calvin Klein, Juicy Couture, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, Kimora Lee Simmons and Victoria's Secret, as well as many small companies and start-ups. I enjoy challenges, puzzles, problem-solving, healthy competition, games of strategy and figuring things out. Participating in an Escape House? You want me on your team.
Short story long, I love what I do and I believe it shows in my work.
